Hi everyone, this is Jiawei Gao, and please feel free to call me Vivian. I am 18 and just graduated from D’overbroeck’s college located in Oxford, UK. As a big fan of physics and maths, my favourite thing is manipulating numbers and dealing with formulae, as they give me the greatest freedom that nothing else can achieve. I am curious about nature and the interconnection between different laws in physics. Thinking makes me feel existence and I love philosophy that always can give me some insights on problems I thought about. I have read many books and done several researches about physics, and I would be glad to share my thoughts on many unsolved problems and welcome to discuss physics, maths, or philosophy with me. In my spare time, I am keen on lots of things that are interesting and fun. I love coding, especially the logic behind, as it is the most fundamental and powerful but interesting thing as far as I can tell. Our team has won several medals, and we are the winner of the 2019 VEX Robotics Championship as well. Poetry is a vital part of my life, in both reading and writing. I have my own channel posting my poetry, sharing my perspective about the world to people around. I am not a serious person in my free time, and I cherish freedom. This is why I love basketball, which gives me an opportunity to feel the wind. Through GUM, I hope to meet more interesting ideas as well as sharing mine, and I look forward to speaking with you all soon.
