Michael Yang

Hello, my name is Michael Yang, and I am in grade 11, even though I am only thirteen(2020). Being an avid reader, I have read a lot of fantasy books, such as the famous Harry Potter series, and some other novels, like Animal Farm. Also, I enjoy doing math, and it is my best subject, since I have received many awards for math competitions, in both China and Canada. Having attended elementary school in Shanghai for 4 years, I am fluent in both Mandarin and English, and I understand both Chinese and Canadian cultures. During my time in GUM, I would like to sparkle the interests of the students about the foreign cultures by conversing about the different customs and beliefs.

个人介绍

Michael于2020年加入GUM英文俱乐部，虽然只有13岁（2020年），已经上了11年级（UBC大学少年班）热爱阅读，比如《哈利波特》和《动物农场》。喜欢数学，获得过许多数学竞赛的奖项。在GUM工作期间，我希望通过谈论不同的习俗和信仰，激发学生对外国文化的兴趣。
